CJ's Experience and Accomplishments


As a College Coach:

  • Assistant Coach (head hitting instructor), University of Virginia for five seasons (2001-2005)

  • UVA was 15th in the nation among NCAA Division I schools with a .292 batting average in her first year coaching

  • The team scored a record 326 runs in 2001

  • In 2002, UVA posted school records for doubles and tied the record in 2003

  • In 2004, UVA set a single season record with 34 home runs

  • UVA led all Division I teams with 29 triples in 2004

  • UVA was 16th in the nation with a .295 batting average in 2004

  • UVA was 17th in the nation in slugging percentage in 2004

  • Prior to coaching UVA, worked as a coach at Team USA softball camps with Ralph and Karen Weekly

  • Head softball coach at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, Washington (1999-2000)

 

As an Athlete:

  • Western Washington University Hall of Fame

  • Played softball at Western Washington University (1995-1999)

  • In 1998, team won the NAIA National Championship

  • Named to the 1998 NAIA National Championship All-Tournament Team

  • Named 1998 WWU Female Athlete of the Year

  • WWU Softball Team Captain (1998 and 1999 seasons)

  • WWU Softball MVP (1997 and 1998)

  • WWU Softball Most Inspirational Player (1998 and 1999)

  • .345 WWU career batting average

  • Set 12 WWU school records, including career home runs and RBI’s
